Ode to Desire…

Red red Desire
burning in the eyes.
lost staring deep in the fire,
A young young bride
on that cold Mongolian night.
burning in the eyes.
lost staring deep in the fire,
A young young bride
on that cold Mongolian night.
Thoughts of her future
Were dancing in the fire
Her heart flames in uncertainty
Her fears
shouting shadows from the fire.
Who could have told her than!
Her sons and daughters
Riding on the wings of desire
are destined to travel and rule
Strange strange people
and far far lands
Were dancing in the fire
Her heart flames in uncertainty
Her fears
shouting shadows from the fire.
Who could have told her than!
Her sons and daughters
Riding on the wings of desire
are destined to travel and rule
Strange strange people
and far far lands
in not so distant time.
Just few hundred years apart
Knot by knot
Birth after birth
Wars after wars
Fire after fire
among strange people,
among strange times,
among strange ideas of living,
still so beautifully alive,
the same same ‘Desire’
burning in the eyes
in this red red life.
Traveling ,dreaming , singing
new songs of hopes and fire
Who remembers the beginning
Where the end be?
The daughter of ice and fire
plays Rachmanikov melodies
on the violins of ‘Life’.
Determined to experience
the frontiers of desire
Fire after fire…
But Who has ever reached
the frontiers of desire?
Far, from the skies,
the moon looks at the same old ‘Desire’
Fire after fire
With a thinking smile…
