Light Blue Water “Acik Mavi Su”

The bus of ‘thoughts’
was going aimlessly
on the road of life
Most ’emotions’ sitting
in the bus of ‘thought’
were lost in their feeling of nothingness
some laughing
some singing
some seeing outside
the bus of ‘thought’
and some lost in turning
memories into pictures

apart,alone,
from all these ’emotions’
one alone Emotion
sitting at the back seat
in the bus of ‘thought’
was lost in himself,
thinking
the gone by moments
the coming tomorrow
the feeling of existing
the sadness of being

sudden brakes…
the bus of thoughts stopped
And YOU appeared
like snow in the summer
like sun in the cold
The winds of dreams start flowing
the heart went flying
like an albatros

Who was I?
perhaps a piece of glass
and you, like a light beam
passed, travelled
all through me
turning me into a Kliedoscope
ful of colors
making me a diamond (atleast for a moment)
I think you read all through me
in that moment

I found myself again
this time, within your hands
in the form of clay
on a potter’s wheel
you making me
with your own hands
perhaps claiming me forever

How the time was passing
like bubbles in a bubble glass (chubuk chubuk)
or like a cigarette burning slowly (yavas yavas)

In the land of ‘Rumi’
I was flying
like,”Gnats in the wind”
Oh! Shams Tabriz
was it you, or was i dreaming again

Your soft fingers,
made of water
dissolving in my hands
making me as light as water
All water, All water
In Acik Mavi was what I could see all
was what I become all
Blue water, Blue water
‘senle unutum buttun ezberlirimi’

The color mavi(blue) still remains
in my eyes
as if I am blinded
by a blue sun
they say don’t look at the sun directly
why i dared to look at you
All blue, All blue
Am i blind?
or is the sun inside my eyes
All fire, Blue fire

Long after you are gone
I feel like a fish in water
too much to say
but no tears to show
unknown to tears
how can a fish cry under water (you tell)

I wish i could know
the language of gods….

The bus of ‘thought’ stopped long before
but the ’emotion’ is still alive
still painted blue
still blinded blue
